Auldyn Matthews

Auldyn is the caregiver of her husband, Keegan, who was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis in 2014. Auldyn's always known Keegan with pain, even when they started dating over 10 years ago. Over these years they’ve navigated doctors, surgeries, and treatments to define a new normal for their family. After the birth of their daughter in 2018, Keegan diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis in both hips from his AS and received a double hip replacement. Through her time as a caregiver, Auldyn researched tons about AS, osteoarthritis in young patients, and pain management to support Keegan in his disease. It's been a relief to find a fantastic rheumatologist, a general practitioner who believes Keegan's pain, and friends and family who take care of their daughter when Auldyn needs a break. Auldyn works as a User Experience Designer in downtown Philadelphia and Keegan is a stay-at-home-dad.
