"Having been through more surgeries recently, I've been feeling quite stressed and unsure of my future living with AS. To manage my high level of anxiety, I recently started a new meditation app to help. As the New Year rings in, what are some effective ways you manage stress, as it can impact your symptoms? Do you have any specific techniques such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, or hobbies that bring you joy can enhance your mental well-being?"

  2. What an interesting hobby, Lisa. Thanks for sharing that with me. I have a lavender spray near my bed that helps. Unfortunately, I have asthma and get migraines so I need to be careful with scents. During troubling times, though, I do reach for familiar scents that calm my mind. Sending thoughts of wellbeing.   5. I hope the meditation is bringing you some comfort and strength.

    I've always loved fragrances and in 2024, I started collecting them. It's led to a new hobby shared with others across the world.

    When I'm not at my best and feeling anxious I will go through my collection and start smelling the different scents. It sounds weird but I find it comforting and relaxing.
