Failed back surgeries

Hi, I am 56 years old. Back in 2007, I was diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis (AS). I had surgery which took an 11-hour operation to fuse my lower back.

In 2020, I had surgery above my fusion to open my spinal canal and also to remove arthritis off my spine. Last month I was told that it was closing back up again. My pain doctor tried injections to give me some relief but it didn't work.

Looking for advice

Now they say I am going to have surgery again in the same area as before.

Has anyone had this happen to them? If so what did you do about it?

All suggestions are welcome.
