Finding an AS Community Who Understands

I'm glad to have found a community that knows what I'm going through.

I have been diagnosed with AS (Ankylosing Spondylitis).

I had been telling my primary that something was wrong for 6 months, she thought I was in grief due to my Mom passing the year before.

Faituge is a struggle

I'm 67 but have always done most everything myself.

I had so much fatigue, it took me days to do things that I did in a few hours.

I seemed to lose interest in everything, it took too much energy to do those things.

Getting dressed just took so much, I was tired by the time I would get ready, and forget morning appointments.

Finding a rheumatologist who understands

My primary sent me to a rheumy and she understood all of it, she has it as well.

I have just started a biologic soon to have my second injection.

I must say I was scared of all the things I read but I knew I had to do something, I have been in pain for almost 10 years.

Glad to have someone that understands.
