Hello - I have had terrible sciatica and had surgery to open up the bilateral lumbar foramina to get the nerves decompressed. It worked. I can walk again with minimal discomfort. Although my pelvis is still very tender and sore, especially at the pelvic rim across my lower back, my severe shooting leg pain is gone. It was difficult to diagnose bc I also had a left hip replacement and they thought the pain was from my hip. I also have terrible inflammation in my whole pelvis area so they thought it was AS pains, not sciatica. It has been a long journey.
