Jaw and kneck ache (feels like toothache)
Can anyone please tell me if my jaw and kneck is hurting because of ankylosing spondylitis? There is a spot on the front of my kneck that is realy tender to touch and when it gets bad it spreads up my kneck into my jaw and it feels like toothache. Any help would be great as getting through to my rheumatologist is a no go
I cant even get a msg to my rheumatologist it's been this way for a long time and dont see it changing anytime soon so I might have to go private (I'm in uk). This is the first time my jaw/neck/teeth have hurt like this, since I started amgevita medication I've noticed a huge difference in my quality of life almost a complete reverse some days but this jaw pain feels like tooth ache and its unbearable, heat helps a little so does edibles a couple of hours before bed to help with sleep but obviously not everyone can do that

I get this very often with the jaw and neck pain. It also comes with face pains and most of the time it increases to migraines. I am sorry you have to feel this. It can be very awful and make you feel bedridden and not be able to do much. I usually try to calm my pains down with heating pads. I also try and take a Tramacet, but that sometimes doesn't work for me. Have you spoken to your rheumatologist about these pains? I know jaw pain can be one of the symptoms for AS. Have you found anything that helps you when you are going through this? I know for me it even gives me gum and teeth pains. Sending you hugs, Nicky (Team Member)
