What’s you Go To When A Flare Up Arrives

I’ve had very low back pain for many years due to a car wreck, two back surgeries, had the nerves burned in my back which lasts about a year but works. Opioids have been taken for many years and they help me on a daily basis. If I didn’t have them I can’t get moving , after taking one in AM takes me 3 hours to thaw out. Lol
I’m pretty sure I’ve tried almost every med that has been created and didn’t work.
I have RX Voltaren which is good but on those horrific days I use DSMO Roll On which I can reach all my back, hips etc without touching it. Also have DSMO Cream with Aloe which I use gloves to apply and it works very well for me. These are not FDA Approved but Amazon sells them. My Pain Managment Doctor thinks outside the box and says if it works for you go for it and that included Gummy Bears and the real Vape which is terrific sometimes. Nothing works all the time but it’s nice to have some options since there really isn’t a great medicine for this disease. Good Luck to everyone and whatever works the best for you, use it! Ron

  1. Rick, I’ve been Using it for 5 years without any incidents. It really gets down into your hips and stops pain sometimes faster and better than anything else I tried. As you probably gathered I’m up for trying anything that will make me feel better and not my Doctor. I have a very cool Doctor who will go along with anything including urine tests that show THC - “we are working on getting the CBD Level correct”.

    1. Hey Rick, yes I have Ankylosing Spondilitis..when my hips are hurting so bad and Voltaren won’t help I crack out the DMSO which really does work and very quickly.

      1. Thank you for educating me about DMSO. I looked it up and plan to speak with my rheumatologist about it the next time I see him.

    2. I am glad you have found something to help. You have not mentioned if you have ankylosing spondylitis, which is an autoimmune disease. I see that you mentioned RX Voltaren, a product I often use for my hands. I find it great for small joint pain. I am not familiar with DSMO Roll, but I bookmarked the entry and will look back later this evening to be better educated.

Thank you for commenting and we wish you the very best.
