Are you diagnosed with AS or AxSpa?

There are 2 types of axSpA: radiographic and non-radiographic.

Radiographic axSpA (r-axSpA or AS)
In radiographic axSpA, inflammation, and bone damage are visible on X-rays. This is most commonly called ankylosing spondylitis (AS).

Non-radiographic axSpA (nr-axSpA)
When inflammation and bone damage are not seen on an X-rays, the condition is called non-radiographic axSpA.

  1. Yes

    1. I have Ankylosing Spondylitis combined with osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, degenerative disc disease, and Diffuse Idiopathic Skeletal Hyperostosis (D.I.S.H.) formerly called Forestier's disease. Just a mixed up mess! 🤯

      1. thanks for sharing the struggle you deal with daily. It is very complex and challenging to find relief while dealing with comorbidities. I understand as I've got 3 of the 4 you mention. It can be physically and emotionally overpowering. How are you being treated for OA, AS, and DDD? Wishing you better days ahead. Rebecca (community moderator)

    2. A.s. in some spots, nonRadial AxSpa in majority of my spine and reactive arthritis.

      1. how you feeling today? Since diagnosis have you been on a treatment plan? Hope you are doing well.
