What Are You Doing to Keep Your Spirits Up?

Covid19 has kept all of us in our homes. I know it had caused some of us to lose our minds! What are you doing to keep your spirits up?

  1. I have not been as isolated as I would have liked. I am a church secretary so I had to go into church as usual, but I do only work part time. I was a care giver for my parents but my father passed away in July of 2020. I still care for my mother and together we have started quilting more. That seems to ease any stress and is very relaxing for both of us.

    1. ,
I am sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your Mom.
I love how you both are taking up quilting, what a wonderfully relaxing way to spend time together.

  2. Walking poles. I am all over walking with my cool poles. I love them.

    1. I recently got some walking poles. Trying to get used to using them.

    2. it takes getting used to the rhythm. This might help or not.

I used this video to learn the rhythm of how to use the poles. I hope it helps.

For about 2 weeks I had to repeat right hand / left foot, left hand / right foot.

Once I learned the rhythm I was doing well with that self talking as I walked.

  3. I have found music to be my most uplifting tool. Either the radio with funny DJ's or something soothing with my headphones. On really bad days, that I'm laid up, I put on a comedy or watch various comedians on DryBar comedy Channel. Maybe even some AFV if I need a really good laugh. Sometimes having someone to talk to on the phone can help too, as it passes the time and takes my mind off the pain.

    1. Ooo rollerblading. Jealous! I hope you get to! Ice skating and rollerblading were my favorite forms of exercise. I'd skate till my legs couldn't support me anymore! 😂

      1. I miss roller skating. Used to be my favorite teen activity and I'd enjoy days out with my kids. Weak ankles wouldn't allow me to ice skate, but I enjoyed watching my daughter who was a natural on the ice.
