Now Diagnosed with Heart Disease.

I haven’t been a member here for long but I appreciate all the kind and supportive comments I read in the Forum for everyone’s posts.

Well I just got a Diagnosis for Heart Disease to go along with my AS, Type 2 Diabetes, IBS and Spinal Stenosis. My cardiac tests indicated a significant risk of heart attack or stroke. Not sure yet what type of procedure or surgery the Cardiologist might prescribe. However, I can tell you this, enough is enough. I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired that I just can’t deal with any more health problems.

So that being said, I also don’t feel that I deserve this amount of suffering and I don’t think my wife of 29 years deserves to have to be stuck trying to care for a very sick husband.

I have decided to file a DNR with my health care system.

  1. Hi - I'm checking in to see how you are doing currently. I'm truly sorry to hear that you're going through such a challenging time with spondyloarthritis, IBS, T2D, spinal issues, as well as heart issues. It's completely understandable to feel exhausted and overwhelmed by the burden of multiple health problems. Acknowledging your feelings and the impact these conditions have on your well-being is important.

Remember that your struggles are valid, and you deserve compassion and support. Dealing with chronic health issues can be incredibly taxing both physically and emotionally. Taking small steps to care for your mental well-being can be as crucial as addressing the physical aspects of your health.

How are you doing currently? Have you been prescribed medication or have you undergone a procedure considering you have a significant risk of heart attack or stroke? We wish you better health this holiday season and hope you are managing fairly well. Thoughtfully, Rebecca (community moderator)

    1. Hey ,

I'm ever so sorry to hear that you have been going through all of these things, I can imagine how awful all of this must have been for you.

Have you heard anything back from the Cardiologist about what they think the next step should be?

How have you been getting on lately? I hope that things have started picking up for you.

      Sending love and positive vibes,
