Overdoing
I'm somewhat out of the sling after my two weeks post-op checkup at the surgeon's office.
So, of course, I wound up overdoing it this weekend (not that I did much at all).
So...today is going to be spent pretty much attached to my ice-water-pumping-machine thingummy and taking my Tylenol and Ibuprofen to pay for my own stupidity. GRRR!
it’s so hard to not just go out and do stuff the way we want to. I hope you’re taking care, feeling some relief, and not regretting things. No regret here at all!! Even mere days after the surgery, the shoulder felt better than it had in years. I finally got released to drive...and so long as I work on not overdoing things (no lifting anything over 5lbs with that arm).

Recovery is going as smoothly as expected, but not as quickly as I'd like.
I'm still not allowed to drive until the end of the month (at least I hope I'll be back to driving then!) I'm allowed to be out of the sling at home on condition that I don't lift anything weighing more than a cup of coffee and (ahem) do not overdo things!
As for the contraption I mentioned. Icewater is circulated through hoses and the pad continually. It can pump cold water for 5-6hours before needing more ice.

Oh no, I hate them times when not doing a lot still equates to overdoing things - sorry to hear that you had one of those moments!
What is your ice water pumping machine thingy? It sounds exciting!
