Has anyone gone to doctors or physical therapists and they basically shame you for your pain? I had a nasty flare and could barely walk. I was using a rollator walker and then progressed to a cane and then normal ambulating over a 2 month period. I went to PT and they kept questioning why my pain scores were not getting better. Clearly, I did not want to be in pain but I was honest about it. The PT was getting frustrated with me because the pain was not getting better. At the last session, she told me that I was not getting better because I was afraid of the pain. In essence, she was pain shaming me. Super frustrating and costly to end with a session such as that. I stopped going and I think I need additional exercises now but I am afraid to go again because of the bad taste from the last PT. With copays, it is expensive and time consuming to be treated like that. Anyone else feel this way? Did I just get a bad PT?
