Vertigo

I have had Ankylosing Spondylitis for 60 yrs and my spine is totally fused. I have no head or neck movement. I have been suffering from
Benign positional vertigo for over 3 months. As I cannot have head or neck massage I wondered if anyone else has suffered this condition.

  1. Hi Nicky, had a reasonable day today, spent most of it going to hospital with my wife for her check up. She has multiple sclerosis and I am her full time career. Our hospital is an hours drive so it takes 3- 4 hrs when we have hospital appointments. I live in Cornwall UK, we love Canada and have good friends in Winnipeg so we know what the snow is like out there ! Take care Nicky.

    1. Hi Nicky, I love to walk usually 3-5 miles daily, and I try to fish once a week,to get fresh air and relax. Also do meditation daily.

      1. Hey @Crafty ,
Walks are my favorite as well right now. Actually waiting for the weather to open up, as it's been snowing loads where I am from here in Montreal.

That sounds like fun fishing. I have tried it once believe it or not. But I can see how it can be relaxing and just out sitting by the lake can feel good to get some of that fresh air.

Hope your day was well today.

        Sending you hugs your way.

    2. No fusing happened gradually. I was 14 when it started,I am now 74 so quite used to it now. I take no medicine for the spondylitis now other than the occasional pain killer when I am feeling pain. Exercise is best way of helping I find. Again thank you for the hugs, it helps to know someone really understands what we go through.

      1. Hi again @Crafty so young age 14. You have been through so much. Yes moving helps. You have to try and keep moving with AS. What kind of exercise do you love to do?

    3. Hi @Crafty I am sorry to hear you been suffering for so long. Did fusing happen right away before diagnosis? Or after? Have you find any treatment that has helped with any of your symptoms ? I am sending you big hugs and sending you strength.
