Im just curious if anyone who's had their vaccine had side effects from it? I have!
I'm glad I got the vaccine, the side effects are worth it!
But I'm just wondering if others have been the same? Im curious is it because of our autoimmune diease or biologics, or just random!

Yes I have had both shots of the Pfizer vaccine and all in all I did not experience many side effects at all. I had a bit of a sore arm but it only really hurt if I poked it - which I found myself doing a lot to check if it was still there!
I was however advised to stop taking my immunosuppressant medications for two weeks before and after each shot. I did start to feel a little bit stiffer nearer the end of the second week after each jab but after starting my meds again that soon cleared up!

I am going to be honest and afraid to even be honest. I feel like people attack one another so fast without knowing their medical history. I am already so sensitive to any medication I take. I been on various medications for the past 4 years now. You get so tired every time you try a medication, you don't know how it will react to your body. I am on my 4th biologic right now with again no improvement yet.
I am one of those waiting to the last minute for the vaccine. I just need to follow what my heart tells me. I have actually recently beat covid me myself and my husband. We were lucky as we didn't have it that bad. As I am always not feeling well to be honest when having covid, it was like a really bad flare. It's taking me more time to feel better. But it was the usual body aches, fatigue and no energy, which I am already use to and can deal with. The only thing extra was the sore throat and the loss of smell and taste.
I rather wait as I am seeing from other a lot of side effects long term that I am not ready to take on. For now I am trying to keep away from large crowds, clean hands, disinfect my hands and and wear my mask. But I am not ready to take any more than that. I am afraid as I have seen and heard my family that has taken it get really worse side effects.

I, too, and on my 4th biologic - that isn't working - and I understand your pain. I did choose to get my vaccines, but I will remain out of crowds and, restaurants, continue wearing masks, and keeping a low profile for long while. I have to tell you - the 10-day flare after each vaccine was NOT fun.
We have tickets to the Eagles concert coming up and we aren't going. Very sad about it bc we already had to postpone it once, but I need to protect myself. My daughter chose differently - she will be going - masked up and distancing as much as she can - but that is her choice. She understands, I can't see her for 10-14 days following but we are okay with that. We have boundaries put in place as a family, and that's what's important - at least to us.
I hope that you find a regimen of biologics, pain control, and anti-inflammatories that works to reduce your pain and inflammation from spondyloarthritis. We are here to support you. warmly, Rebecca

I had a month-long flare-up after the vaccine. It was one of the worst flare-ups I've ever had. While I am relieved to be better protected against COVID-19, my symptoms were so much worse than I thought they'd be after my second dose. I've heard news about immunocompromised people and a booster shot and after such a bad flare-up, I would be hesitant to get it.

I refuse, my dr. Has nothing to push. I am very afraid of the way my body will react. Our immune system is attacking us nearly to death. I am very afraid of the side effects! Has anyone had a dr. Note that we may be too unhealthy at this time. I have heard symptoms of healthy people. Just my opinion. My family have all been vaccinated. I decided to wait for more testing, and stay to myself for now.
