Intermittent Fasting

I'm not one for fad diets or trends, but I was keen to hear if anyone has experience with intermittent fasting? I started an 18:6 fast three weeks ago due to severe hypoglycaemic episodes, and I've been pleasantly surprised to find that it has not only eradicated those episodes and stabilised my blood sugars, but it has helped with my mood, energy levels (baseline fatigue always there, of course), GI symptoms and gut pain, and joint inflammation. Exercise is also coming easier, although I still have to be careful with my back, knees, and hips... Early days yet, but the results have been promising!

  1. Im VERY intetested in this but did not bite the bullet yet ; it feels hard to get started. I dont live alone . Theres always food around and im the only one who can cook ; so i cant ignore food ; its in my face all the time . Logistical problems getting this going but what you say is very very encouraging . Ps i dont understand online stuff at all but really want to know what you and others think about ldn . Im one week into it and i swear im feeling positive effects . My sleep & mood are better and my pain , though not gone , is lessened . Im afraid the rug will be pulled out and it will stop working / i'll plateau . Mobic and the 5 other meds were horrible and made me hurt worse . Sorry to go long here .
