Stopping Humira ??

Unless the Humira is solving all your AS symptoms, it might be time to switch to a different biologic. Humira didn't help me at all. Cosentyx has helped a great deal. You might want to take a break from the Humira, get the infections under control, and then try a different biologic. Just a thought...


Just for fun, you might want to take L-Glutamine (powder you dissolve in liquid) daily to see if that helps your labs. It won't hurt to try it, no side effects, no taste. I have the MTHFR Mutation (genetic) which causes your body to have trouble removing toxins (liver & kidneys), along with requiring Methylcobalamin instead of normal B-12. Lots of people have this mutation, but they don't test for it.

Sorry to hear Humira has not been helping you. I have been on Humira as well, and had to get off as it was making me feel worse. I know everyone is different when trying these medication. This is all about trial and error. I would reach out to your doctor and let him know how you are feeling about Humira. Is this your first biologic? Sometimes it takes time to find the right one. I am on my fourth one Cosentyx and it's my longest one I been on.
