Morning Routine: What has helped you with pain management?

Apart from meds, I am trying options to manage AM pain and stiffness. In addition to lower back, SI joint, and hips, the past 3 weeks have been filled with shoulder pain (front/top of shoulder; back along trapezius/scapula). Shoulder-focused gentle stretching aggravated pain. Voltaren gel has helped on the very front of my right shoulder. What other options has anyone tried that has helped, even if some of the time?

  1. Hello Maisi - I understand this pain and stiffness in the morning. It totally squashes my motivation to get up and get moving. I recently wrote an article with an in-bed movement sequence that may help, especially with your shoulders and upper body. The routine is at the end of the article. Hoping this helps. Rebecca
