Some arthritis patients are reporting trouble accessing methotrexate, a well-established arthritis drug, since abortion became illegal in some states in June.
While methotrexate is FDA-approved to treat inflammatory forms of arthritis such axial spondyloarthritis, it is also considered an "abortion-inducing" drug. It can be used to treat patients experiencing early pregnancy loss, such as in ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage.
The Arthritis Foundation covered the issue here: https://www.arthritis.org/about-us/news-and-updates/statement-on-methotrexate-access?fbclid=iwar2rrspy_pmrvovephn5b4w9meyy-i-tco_os34ehxvnm-lxlekf0kmygdc
