  1. I’ve been on Xeljanz about 15 months. I wasn’t sure it was working until o got the flu and had to stop for three weeks. It’s made a big difference in getting my inflammation down and keeping my pain levels from being extreme all the time. May not sound like much, but it’s the first drug to help and makes a big difference in my quality of life. Hard to comprehend when these meds take 6+ months to start feeling the benefits.

I take the Xeljanz extended relief so it keeps working all day, I think that’a a newer formulation of your doctor can get approved for you.

Hope others find great help from the JAK inhibitors too.

    1. It's wonderful to hear that you are getting relief from AS with the JAK inhibitor, Xeljanz XR. I too am on Xeljanz XR for about 15 months and it has worked wonders. It is the only thing that has helped in years keeping the pain levels and inflammation at bay. It has made a huge difference in my quality of life. Finding a medication that works effectively for a particular condition can be life-changing, and it's encouraging to know that JAK inhibitors have been beneficial for you. I sure hope others get to find the relief we've experienced. Thank you for sharing your journey with us in the community. We hope you have better days ahead. Warmly ~ Rebecca (community moderator)

    2. this happened to me with Cosentyx. I had to skip when I got an infection and noticed a big difference when I had to skip a dose of the Cosentyx.

I am glad to hear Xeljanz has been helping.

  3. Yes I was on both Rinvoq and Xeljanz for Ankylosing spondylitis. Unfortunately for me, they had very little effect. Xeljanz worked slightly better because I took it twice a day, so the effects lasted longer.

    1. I'm sorry to hear that Xeljanz and Rinvoq had minimal impact in treating your spondyloarthritis. It can be frustrating when medications don't provide the desired results. Have you explored alternative treatment options or adjusted your current treatment plan? Hoping your pain is low and energy up. With regards, Rebecca (community moderator)
