I am struggling and thinking of asking for medical cannabis

I don’t know where to buy from in the uk anyone know? Is it expensive? I can’t use naproxen now as it’s giving me gut issues, I am not on biologics,I can’t take NASIDS as all upset my stomach I have a very sensitive stomach and just not sure what else I can try as my Gp won’t prescribe it and not available on the NHS l can’t take steroids injection now I have a really horrible rheumatologist who would not give me it if I was crawling on the floor begging for it, yes I know it’s not advised for people with osteoporosis but it helps gives me less pain I can function even for a little while since 2022 I have only had three it’s not excessive for gods sake and I know how it effects the bones I have tried and begged screaming on the phone to the rheumatologist and the GP and then after the last time a week ago I get a horrible voicemail from someone in the rheumatologists department saying ( not good morning it’s the nurse or anything I just get this.
You can have it I’d you sign these papers and there is a mortality rate and then the phone goes dead honestly this is madness I know full well about what I have but to pressure me like that is not on.
And she screwed with my head.
I never had papers to sign before or saying that.
It’s nasty and horrible I hate the service we have here in the uk.

  1. Jan58- Do you live where THC is legal or distribute M M Cards? Are Gummy’s legal where you live? If they will allow you some Delta 9 gummy’s , if not I’m sure you can order. There are many places that sell but haven’t had Labs examine each product. Here is what I use Blueberry Delta 9 gummy’s that are
About 1.5” square. When they arrive they are cut into 1/3rds ( see basic math will have to be used ) lol In my opinion , I’ve tried many companies products but diamondcbd.com in Florida has Lab tested gummy’s that have a terrific taste.
They will help and you won’t get that THC taste in your stomach !
    Best of luck☘️

    2. Hi Ron
Thank you for all that information, I saw a rheumatologist yesterday i mentioned about it and said I use a cream without the THC now see how it goes he said not recommended and wouldn’t help, but yes I thought this right thank you for trying for me.
I can’t afford to pay privately but yes the NICE guidelines are conventional and preferable drugs they understand but they don’t try alternatives.
As I only tried one biologic they are unwilling to try alternatives but biologic therapy.
      Take care

  2. Hi Kathy
It’s virtually impossible but I will try I have an appointment on the 6th July will mention it then, no they prefer anything but cannabis but I have never had it even when I was young but for this type of pain I am willing to try and yes on the NHS it’s anything but cannabis and all biologics meds which I don’t want so that article is very useful thank you very much.
    Will let you know
    Take care

    2. I’m sorry your appointment didn’t turn out the way you had hoped. Hopefully the letter provides some additional information and helps clear up any confusion. But don’t give up, and try not to lose hope. Sometimes getting the right answers takes time and persistence. Please keep us updated when the letter arrives! We're in this with you! 3. I am so sorry you are struggling to find medical cannabis where you live. Laws and the availability of drugs differ from one county to another. We are based in the United States, and do not any information about what is available in the UK. I hope one of our UK-based community members can help you find the answers you seek. I found this article on a site for legal news in the UK on cannabis that has information about what is available. It states, "Private clinics prescribe for chronic pain more readily than the NHS does." Warmly, Kathy (Team member)
