Trying to Find Answers After Being Told Different Things

I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in 2017. I've tried about 8 medications. I am now on Simponi Aria infusions.

I started having severe back pain about 6 months ago. My last CT scan revealed this 3D image.

I have had one Dr tell me this is completely a result of my RA. Then my Rheumatologist says that this has nothing to do with my RA.

They say there's nothing that can be done about it besides injections, burning the nerves and controlling the RA. Is this ankylosing spondylitis?

The pain is starting to become debilitating. I can only work part time now and laying on my right side with a pillow between my legs is about the only relief I get.

Finding support in the ankylosing spondylitis community

This has all changed my life in good and bad ways. I just want to be myself again. I've lost friends and family. I'm having to file for disability.

My son feels responsible for helping me when he should be out enjoying his life. It's hard to vent to people because I don't want to feel like I'm looking for pity or attention. Maybe I can find some familiar shoulders to lean on in here.
