Virus magnet
Hi,
2 years on & I find myself in the same position. I'm a virus magnet.
I'm not on biologics, does anyone have any advice/experience on what they find makes them more vulnerable to virus infections. I understand of course that our immune systems are busy fighting ourselves.
One thing I notice is often a stomach upset, so wonder if microbiome/leaky gut linked.
Any help gratefully received.

Thanks Kathy, much appreciated. I've today been told I'm being referred to Gastroenterology. I too have read some information about possible "bad" bacteria links e.g. e Coli, which when I had a gut test in 2023 for something else showed as very high

Thanks for your question. Many people in our community who are living with AS or a similar autoimmune disease also complain that they catch illnesses quite frequently. There also does seem to be a real connection between AS and stomach problems. What does your doctor think about your microbiome/leaky gut theory? All the best, Kathy (Team member)
