  1. Yogurt and blueberries

    1. That's a great effective and simple snack! The yogurt helps with gut health because of the probiotics, and the blueberries are full of antioxidants that help fight inflammation. It's a powerful combinations for sure. Sometimes, I add chai seeds to mine when I want to give myself another healthy boost! Thanks for adding to the conversation! Kindly, Latoya (Team Member)

  2. My rheumatologist mentioned that since I didn't want to start biologics, I should at least eliminate nightshade vegetables and plants from my diet. That was in 2017. I have eliminated all nightshades from my diet and do not plan to ever go back to eating them. For me, white potatoes, tomatoes, green peppers and eggplant will cause intense pain starting right after I eat any, and by the next day I am in constant pain all over. Being from a town that thrived on Italian food, I had to completely learn how to cook without these ingredients! Now there are all kinds of inflammation reducing books and recipes. It is so much easier than before! Reducing sweets, limiting dairy and eliminating wheat have really helped with pain reduction.

When I started on this journey I thought only if the eliminations, not realizing that there were so many other foods and options available that I didn't know about or had ever seen cooked. For me, ti is now an adventure.
